Benjamin J. Yoder

December 30, 1931 - February 18, 2021

Benjamin J. Yoder, 89, of Mifflin Twp, passed away on February 18, 2021, at his home. He was born in Belleville on December 30, 1931, a son the late Abraham S. Yoder and Salome P. Zook Yoder. Benjamin worked as a farm laborer and later a machinist at Morton Machine Works, Millersburg. He was the husband of the late Elsie R. Yoder. He was a member of Evangelical Brethren Church, Berrysburg. His legacy is left through his love for Jesus and his family. All who knew him knew him to be a man of integrity and kindness. Benjamin is survived by his four daughters, Magdalene J. (Clifford) Hawbaker of Chambersburg, JoAnna M. (J. Richard) Lehman of Liberty KY, Judith P. (Galen) Hostetter of Elizabethville, Rachel S. (Steven) Shetterly of Millersburg. 15 grandchildren, Juanita (Zane) Garber, Emily (Andy) Helman, Dawn (Dwayne) Blank, Daniel (Mindy) Lehman, Missie Lehman, Amy Lynne (Jason) Campos, Deanna (Johnathan) McLaughlin, Denise (Laverne) Brown, Jonathan (LaRae) Hostetter, Abigail (Lydon) Sipe, Elisabeth, Benjamin, Ethan Shetterly and Andrew Murphy. 27 great-grandchildren, Micah, Nathan, Jennifer, James, Levi, Gideon, Ezra, Boaz, Malachi, Jethro, Vivian, Caitlynn, Caleb, Hannah, Emma, Jonas, Jamin, Devin, Jake, Jackson, Tyler, Nevaeh, Ellie, Rexford, Rose, Benjamin and Tobi. He was preceded in death by wife, Elsie R. Yoder, grandson Daryl Hawbaker, 8 brothers, John, Moses, Samuel, Abraham, Stephen, Kore, Noah and David, 4 sisters, Rachel Spicher, Annie Spicher, Veronica Yoder and Mary Peachey. A viewing will be held on February 23, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Evangelical Brethren Church, Berrysburg. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 1:30 pm at the Evangelical Brethren Church, Berrysburg. Private family burial will take place in the Evangelical Brethren Cemetery, Berrysburg. Masks are recommended. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Open Doors USA, PO Box 27001, Santa Ana, CA 92799 or to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Parkway, Suite 110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
